The Dance Alive National Ballet’s (DANB) student group, The Next Generation, will perform its Choreographic Showcase on Sunday at Pofahl Studios in Gainesville.
This event will take place at 3 p.m. at 1325 NW 2 St. for a $5 admission fee, which supports DANB’s educational programs.
The performance will feature works created by young choreographers. They audition, set, plan costumes, rehearse and then present their work to an audience. The program offers audience members the opportunity to explore with the dancers the how and why of what they created, talk to the performers following the performance, and share in their final performance with pizza and soft drinks.
