Local artists are invited to set up their easels and connect with the natural world at the plein air painting session at Bar Hammock Preserve-Levy Loop on Sunday, March 15.

The event, hosted by the Alachua County Environmental Protection Department, runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 14920 SE 11th Dr. in Micanopy.

​​Artists are responsible for bringing their own supplies and chairs and a limited number of chairs and art materials will be available for use during the event. Artists must RSVP for this free event by emailing mneelands@alachuacounty.us.

Participants should check the weather and wear comfortable, seasonally appropriate clothing. Sunscreen and at least one liter of drinking water are recommended. There is no restroom on site.
