Touching Hearts at Home will host its 2026 Community Health Fair on Friday, Sept. 18, at the Senior Recreation Center.

The free event will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 5701 NW 34th Blvd. in Gainesville and is open to the public and will connect seniors and their families with local health care providers, senior service organizations and community partners. Attendees will have access to health information, resources and services in one convenient location.

The event will also benefit ElderCare of Alachua County. Each participating vendor will make a $100 donation to support ElderCare and its programs and services for local seniors.

“As an award-winning, family-owned home care agency, we see every day how important education, prevention and access to trusted resources are in helping seniors remain safe, healthy and independent,” said Christina Ramos, executive director of Touching Hearts at Home, in the release. “Our Touching Hearts at Home Community Health Fair allows us to bring those resources together under one roof while also giving back to ElderCare of Alachua County and the seniors they serve.”

The health fair will feature:

  • Local health care providers and senior service organizations.
  • Community resources for seniors, caregivers and families.
  • Complimentary health and wellness screenings.
  • Senior health, safety and fall-prevention resources.
  • Alzheimer’s disease, dementia and healthy-aging education.
  • Giveaways, educational materials and raffles.
  • Opportunities to speak one-on-one with local professionals.

The annual event is part of Touching Hearts at Home’s ongoing commitment to supporting seniors throughout North Central Florida through in-home care, education, advocacy and community engagement.
