
Firefighters extracted a trapped person from a vehicle following a collision on County Road 219A and County Road 1474 near Campville in east Alachua County on Saturday afternoon.

Firefighters extracted a trapped person from a vehicle following a collision on County Road 219A and County Road 1474 near Campville in east Alachua County on Saturday afternoon.
According to an Alachua County Fire Rescue (ACFR) release, units from ACFR, the Windsor Fire Department and the Alachua County Sheriff’s Office responded to a two-vehicle accident where one of the occupants was trapped. Emergency personnel used hydraulic rescue tools, also known as the “Jaws of Life,” to remove the occupant.
The injured parties from the accident were transported to a local hospital and the crash is under investigation by the Florida Highway Patrol.
