
Update (Tuesday, 8 p.m.): Water pressure was restored at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, but the citywide boil water notice remains in effect until further notice. Residents may notice cloudy water when they first turn on their tap and the city of High Springs encourages people to run their water for a few minutes.

The city of High Springs issued a citywide boil water notice after a water line break on Main Street early Tuesday afternoon.
According to a city release, an outside contractor struck the downtown waterline around 2 p.m.
Once service is restored, city water customers will need to boil their water until further notice.
The High Springs Public Works crews continue to work on restoring the water as of 4:05 p.m.
