A Lake City couple died Thursday afternoon when their car struck a utility pole on SW Baya Drive.
According to a Lake City Police Department (LCPD) release, Charles Harrison Fails, 51, was driving east on SW Baya Drive around 3 p.m. when he reportedly lost control of his vehicle, veered onto the sidewalk and struck a utility pole near SE Perry Avenue.
Both Charles and his wife, and passenger, Tracy Carol Fails, 49, died in the accident.
