Mike Ridaught
Today’s senior spotlight is on Corbin Grantham of Buchholz High School. Grantham, who is the son of University of Florida defensive coordinator Todd Grantham, played football and baseball for the Bobcats and made a big impact in both sports when he moved from Louisville.
In 2018, Grantham recorded 79 tackles, two for a loss, three interceptions, five passes defended, one fumble caused, and one fumble recovery, helping him to receive an offer from the University of Kentucky, among others. But it was baseball where Grantham would decide on his future.
Grantham’s favorite high school sports moment was winning a state championship his freshman year at Trinity High School in Louisville.
At Buchholz, Grantham was a first team all-area selection as a junior after batting .351 with six doubles, one home run, 23 runs scored, and 24 stolen bases. His senior campaign was off to a great start – batting .409 with three doubles and a triple for the 7-2 Bobcats. Grantham will play baseball at Mississippi State next season.
