
For the second consecutive year, senior Faith Hardy of the P.K. Yonge girls soccer team finished second in the voting for player of the year in her classification.
In 2024, the Palm Beach Atlantic University signee was runner-up for the Florida Dairy Farmers Class 3A Player of the Year after leading P.K. Yonge to its first final four in program history.
She led the team with 39 goals and seven assists in her junior season.
This past season, Hardy helped lead the Lady Blue Wave to their fourth straight region final.
P.K. Yonge (16-3-1), which dropped down to 2A this past season, lost on penalty kicks after a 1-1 tie in double overtime against visiting Episcopal (Jacksonville) in the Class 2A-Region 1 Final, falling one game shy of a return to the state semifinals.
The Lady Blue Wave’s only goal came on a shot from just outside the top of the box by Hardy.
Hardy, who had a hat trick to help lead the Lady Blue Wave to their sixth straight district title, finished her senior season with a team-leading 32 goals and added seven assists.
Yari Mujica helped lead Williston (12-5) to a Class 2A state playoff appearance.
She had their loan goal in a double overtime loss to Newberry in the 2A-District 3 semifinals against Newberry, falling, 4-2, on penalty kicks.
The senior finished with 40 goals and seven assists.
Memphis signee Ava Galani of state runner-up Episcopal was named the Class 2A POY.
The senior goalkeeper posted 11 shutouts and had a 0.88 goal against average. She is one of seven finalists for the overall Miss Soccer award.

Brooke Gosse, Bartram Trail (St. Johns), Senior, Forward, Class 6A Player of the Year
Scored 18 goals and added 15 assists in helping her squad to an 18-1-4 record and the Class 6A state title. Committed to play college soccer at Southern Illinois University.
Hannah Busenbark, North Fort Myers, Junior, Forward, Class 5A Player of the Year
Scored 57 goals and added 12 assists in leading her squad to a 21-3 record and a spot in the Class 5A state Final Four.
Courtney Caruso, American Heritage, Senior, Midfield, Class 4A Player of the Year
Scored 7 goals and added 26 assists in helping her squad to a 19-1 record and the Class 4A state title. Signed to play soccer at New York University.
Caroline Pelkofski, Bishop Verot, Senior, Forward, Class 3A Player of the Year
Scored 20 goals and added 22 assists in leading her squad to a 15-3-1 record and a Class 3A state runner-up finish. Signed to play soccer at the University of South Florida.
Ava Galani, Episcopal, Senior, Goalkeeper, Class 2A Player of the Year
Had 11 shutouts and an 0.88 goals against average in helping her squad to a 14-6-3 record and a Class 2A state runner-up finish. Has committed to play college soccer at the University of Memphis.
Giovanna Waksman, Sophomore, The Pine School, Forward, Class 1A Player of the Year
Scored 87 goals and added 14 assists in leading her squad to a 17-2-1 record and a Class 1A state runner-up finish.

Christian Eissele, Lake Mary, Class 7A Coach of the Year
Led his team to a 19-3-2 record and the Class 7A state championship, the school’s first state title in 23 years. In five years Eissele has posted a 62-22-8 record, including a 34-4-6 record the past two years.
Jen Rodriguez, Bartram Trail, Class 6A Coach of the Year
Led her team to an 18-1-4 record and the Class 6A state championship, the school’s fourth state title in the past six years. In 24 years, Rodriguez has posted a 393-99-48 record.
Dave Silverberg, Ponte Vedra, Class 5A Coach of the Year
Led his team to a 17-3-2 record and the Class 5A state title, the program’s third state title in the past five years and Silverberg’s ninth state title overall (five at Ponte Vedra and four at Nease).
Cindy Marcial, American Heritage-Plantation, Class 4A Coach of the Year
Marcial led her team to a 19-1 record and its third straight state championship (5A titles in 2023-24). It was the seventh state title for Marcial (2014-16, 2019, 2023-25).
Oscar Narvaez, Somerset-Canyons, Class 3A Coach of the Year
Narvaez led his squad to a 19-2 record and the Class 3A state championship, the school’s first state title. In five years, Narvaez has compiled a 67-27-3 record, including a 50-12-2 mark in the past three seasons.
Hillary Carney, The Benjamin School, Class 2A Coach of the Year
Led her squad to the Class 2A state title. After posting a 4-5-3 regular-season record, Carney’s team reeled off seven straight wins on the way to the program’s first state championship. In seven years, she has compiled an 84-21-11 record.
Mike Pickett, St. Johns Country Day, Class 1A Coach of the Year
Led his squad to a 21-3-1 record and the Class 1A state title. In 27 years at St. Johns, he has won 15 state titles and has an overall record of 558-67-38.
