Alachua County Public Schools’ Food & Nutrition Department has announced the expansion of its after-school meals program to deliver evening meals at 19 area locations.

The program already provides snacks and suppers to children in after-school programs, but now all Alachua County children ages 0-18 can receive them. Fifteen sites will begin offering the meals on Tuesday, March 2, and ACPS will add another four sites on March 16.

According to ACPS, families will pick up the food at the sites using the same weekly schedule for breakfasts and lunches: Tuesday and Thursday from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The additional distribution of snacks and suppers will continue through the end of June 2021.
