A two-vehicle accident in Newberry injured three people on Sunday.

According to an Alachua County Fire Rescue (ACFR) release, ACFR and Newberry Fire Department units responded at 6 p.m. to a two-vehicle collision at 24252 W. Newberry Road.

One of the vehicles overturned onto its side, trapping the occupant. Crews used the Jaws of Life hydraulic equipment to remove the person.

Emergency responders transported three people to local hospitals.
