The Gainesville Circus Center will celebrate America’s 250th anniversary with two performances of “Banjo Buffalo’s Wild West Revival,” a family-friendly production featuring live entertainment, horsemanship and aerial performances.
The show will take place July 24 at the Two Hawk Equestrian Center in Williston (17950 NE 53rd Ln) and July 25 at the Alachua County Agricultural & Equestrian Center in Newberry (23100 W. Newberry Rd.). Gates open at 6:15 p.m., with a pre-show beginning at 6:30 p.m. and the main performance starting at 7 p.m. Guests will also have an opportunity to meet the performers and take photos following each show.
Presented by the Gainesville Circus Center with support from the National Endowment for the Arts and Visit Gainesville, the production combines Wild West entertainment with cultural traditions that helped shape the American frontier.
Audiences can expect an evening featuring gunslingers, trick riders, aerialists, live music and Native American dancers in a performance designed for all ages.
“Banjo Buffalo’s Wild West Revival” is part of the nation’s semiquincentennial celebration, commemorating the 250th anniversary of the United States.
General admission is $25. Children ages 12 and younger are admitted free with a reserved ticket when accompanied by the purchase of an adult ticket. Free children’s tickets must be reserved at the time adult tickets are purchased for all performances. Discounts are also available for seniors, military members and first responders.
