Sometimes there is nothing like a warm pastry or piece of bread. Gainesville’s best bakeries have been baking up some delectable treats for the community for years. Each of these bakeries offers something different to the community and is beloved, whether it is brand new or has been around the block for a while.

A Gainesville staple since the 1980s, Uppercrust brings a piece of France to Gainesville through incredible bread and pastries. With a vast selection that is baked fresh daily it’s hard to go wrong with any of the selections. Most of the products take three to four days to produce so there are limited quantities available.

Uppercrust has two locations, Mothercrust and Petit Uppercrust. The bakery suggests that if you would like a specific item, call 48 hours ahead to order it.

What about Dolce Vita

Terry

Dolce Vita is one you left off the list.

Susan

I’m sure they are all wonderful bakeries – but my vote goes to Baker-Baker on SW 4th Ave!

Juan Andres

Is Colombia not Columbia

Rebecca

Why didnt BakerBkaer make this list?

Theresa Beachy

Dolce Vita and Baker Baker should make this list!

Monica

Dolce Vita deserves to be on this list.

Josh

BakerBaker should have been on this list before a national chain. They’re even better than Vine.
Also there is Midnight Cookies which is amazing.

The disrespect to Baker Baker

BonginGvilee

Agree about Baker Baker except, unless you are an early riser, you are often out of luck. Also, Pampy’s is a new Cuban bakery that deserves support.
