The U.S. Navy Band Commodores will perform on Friday at the Historic Thomas Center.
Courtesy city of GainesvilleThe city of Gainesville’s Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs Department will host the U.S. Navy band Commodores during a stop on the band’s 2023 national tour.
The concert will take place at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 27 at The Historic Thomas Center (302 NE 6th Ave.).
The band is an 18-member jazz ensemble formed in 1969. Its mission includes public concerts, national concert tours, ceremonial support in honoring veterans, jazz education classes and clinics, and protocol performances for high-level military and civilian government officials.
The event is free and open to the public.
