The Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) is investigating a fatal hit-and-run collision that killed a female pedestrian at the intersection of US Highway 19 and NE 446th Street in Old Town early Wednesday morning.
According to an FHP report, the woman was struck around 12:50 a.m. by an unknown vehicle in the outside southbound lane of US 19.
Emergency responders pronounced the woman dead on scene. The identity of the pedestrian was unknown at the time of the release.
