The HippCinema recently announced its summer 2026 film lineup that will run through Aug. 2.

The independent cinema venue at the Hippodrome Theatre (25 SE 2nd Place, Gainesville) features a slate that spans a SXSW award-winning documentary, A24’s buzzy sci-fi horror release, a 30th-anniversary restoration of a British cinema classic, and specialty programming including Cocktails & Classics and a family matinee.

“This summer’s lineup is about range — a documentary that speaks directly to Florida audiences, a horror film everyone’s talking about, and the kind of classics that remind you why you fell in love with the big screen in the first place,” said Naheed Mojadidi, Cinema Director at HippCinema, in the press release. “There’s something here for the casual moviegoer and the die-hard cinema enthusiast alike.”
