Curated by Gainesville songwriter Jordan Burchel, the festival will also serve as the official release show for Burchel’s new album, “With Everything Going On.”

The event will feature performances from:

  • Nick Lutsko String Band
  • The Nancys
  • Lauris Vidal
  • Spencer Thomas
  • Morningbell
  • Lauren Woodall
  • Additional local and regional artists

Organizers said the festival is intended to blend the atmosphere of a music gathering with a broader reflection on the role of art and creative expression during challenging social and cultural moments.

Part music festival, part album release, and part community conversation, the event centers on a question many artists and audiences continue to grapple with: what does it mean to continue creating, gathering, and participating “with everything going on?”

“With Everything Going On came from the tension of feeling like making art right now is either meaningless or essential,” Burchel said. “This festival is an attempt to hold both of those ideas at once. At its core, it’s friends playing music and drinking. But it’s also about using whatever catharsis we create together as the kindling for meaningful participation in the world.”
